Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $110,000–$125,000/year, based on experience
Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,500
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Lab Director to oversee clinical laboratory operations and provide leadership to laboratory staff. This position is responsible for ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow, and reliable patient testing across all areas of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee day-to-day clinical laboratory operations.
- Supervise, support, and coordinate laboratory staff and staffing needs.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in CAP surveys and maintain survey readiness.
- Oversee quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely laboratory testing.
- Maintain working knowledge of all areas of the hospital laboratory.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation and provide call-back coverage when needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, hospital leadership, and other departments.
- Oversee testing in chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, molecular, and microbiology.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in:
- Medical Technology
- Clinical Laboratory Science
- Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
- Or a related field
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Medical Technology program or equivalent
. - ASCP Certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of medical laboratory experience
. - Minimum 2 years of hospital laboratory supervisory experience
. - Ability to work across all areas of a hospital laboratory.
- CAP Survey experience required/preferred.
- Exempt leadership position.
- Shared on-call responsibilities.
