Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment. This is a true L&D role requiring a strong maternal-child nursing background and the flexibility to support multiple women's health areas, including postpartum, couplet care, newborn nursery, and OB/GYN post-operative patients.

The selected RN will provide care across:
- Labor & Delivery
- Postpartum
- Couplet Care
- Special Care Nursery
- Newborn Nursery
- OB/GYN Post-Operative Patients
- Active Kansas RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification
- AHA NRP Certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience
- Previous Labor & Delivery experience required
- Must have successfully completed at least 2 travel nursing contracts
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers throughout the childbirth process.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being.
- Assist physicians during deliveries and emergency situations.
- Care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
- Provide couplet care and newborn nursery support.
- Assess and manage OB/GYN post-operative patients.
- Educate patients and families regarding recovery and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Candidate must reside more than 45 miles from the facility.
- Mileage from permanent residence to facility must be included in the submission packet.
- Candidate must complete a drug screen as part of compliance requirements.
- Additional on-site drug screening will be completed during facility orientation.
- Strong Labor & Delivery background
- Comfortable floating between maternal-child departments
- Independent and confident clinician
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Diverse Women's Health experience
- Collaborative maternal-child team
