Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in labor and delivery settings, ensuring safe and efficient childbirth experiences. Assist with patient assessments, deliveries, and postpartum care, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess fetal and maternal conditions to determine labor progression and make appropriate interventions.
• Support obstetricians and healthcare team during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Monitor vital signs, fetal heart rates, and overall patient status continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in patient records.
• Educate patients and families on labor process, pain management options, and postpartum care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State Registered Nurse license with certification in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in bedside clinical skills including fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures.
• Maintain current certifications and licenses at the time of submission.
• Be flexible with schedule, including night shifts and weekend coverage as required.
