We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Aide to lead and support a variety of recreational, social, and spiritual activities designed to engage and enrich the lives of residents in a healthcare setting located in the Pacific Northwest region. This part-time role primarily involves day shifts totaling 48 hours per pay period.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, direct, and oversee diverse activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents.
- Conduct Activity Assessments within 14 days of admission and for swing bed patients, documenting care plans accurately in EPIC.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns, including notifying licensed staff when pain is reported.
- Maintain and organize activity equipment and supplies to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Provide compassionate support to residents, including those confined to their rooms, respecting their cultural, spiritual, and psychosocial needs.
- Assist residents with voter registration and address updates as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- NA-C certification preferred; HCA certification acceptable.
- Experience in a residential care or similar healthcare environment is necessary.
- Additional training in developmental disabilities, mental health, and dementia is advantageous.
- Food Handler's Card is preferred.
- Maintain all regulatory and certification requirements.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance and task completion.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, and team members.
