Technical Support Engineer III; CONUS

This description focuses on the Technical Support Engineering team supporting our Federal customers.

This role is located in the Greater Spokane, WA region and requires on‑site presence in the Spokane Valley office. Shift schedule: 5:00‑7:00PM PST start to 4:00‑6:00AM PST end, 24/7 coverage with a 4x10 schedule, including one weekend day. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity. No US work sponsorship is available.

Demonstrate good judgment to select the best methods and techniques to provide Level1‑3 technical support for hardware and software issues on F5 products and services. Proactively communicate status, plan‑of‑action, and resolution of issues based on ISO Quality Management System procedures. Provide a consistently high‑quality support experience, maintain schedule adherence, manage case escalations to Tier3, and perform additional projects as required.

• Excellent customer service skills and experience supporting corporate customers and service providers in production environments.
• Hands‑on technical experience with internetworking/data‑center operations (WAN, DNS, SSL, cryptography, virtualization, etc.) and network protocols.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, UNIX/Linux (Red Hat) operating systems, VMware or equivalent hypervisors, and network hardware.
• Potential exposure to Network Security (web application security, AAA, VPN, DDoS, malware, application firewalls).
• Proficiency with Windows OS.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems;
  Salesforce Service Cloud preferred.
• Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; multiple‑language skills a plus.

• 5years’ experience in a professional technical support role or equivalent, working with relevant technologies.
• Holding a 2nd‑tier academic degree (bachelor’s, honors, graduate certificate, or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to work with limited or little instruction on routine work and build strong internal/external relationships.

Normal office environment, working at a desk or computer table. Use a computer, headset for phone calls, and read printed material. Work outside core business hours, including early morning, late evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel may be required (5–10%).
