Emergency Room Nurse (ER RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team in a bustling trauma center. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong clinical skills in acute care settings.

• Number of Beds: 56 beds, with hall beds bringing total to 60-70 beds.
• Fast Track Capacity: 6 beds available.
• Triage Area:
  Separate area with 5 beds; assignments for travelers may be available.
• Holding Area: 18 dedicated beds for inpatients awaiting placement.
• Psych/Seclusion Rooms:
  Locked hall with 6 private treatment rooms.
• Daily Patient Volume:
  Approximately 170-200 patients.
• Nurse Ratios: 1:3 for typical cases, 1:4 for low acuity situations.

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
• Manage patient assessments, triage, and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients and document changes in condition or response to treatments.
• Perform necessary procedures and interventions, including EKGs, as needed.

• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year in a larger trauma setting.
• Education:
  
  Nursing license required; BSN preferred.

• Charting System:
  Epic.
• Orientation: 1-day compliance training followed by 1-day department-specific orientation.
• Floating Requirements:
  None.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code:
  Professional colors required.

• Shifts will be assigned based on department needs.
• Weekend requirement is every other weekend.
• Holiday availability during November and December is mandatory.
