Position: Client Relationship Consultant 1-4 (Banker) – Eastern WA District (25-40 hrs)

Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers by meeting face to face and engaging them when and where they need to provide the best possible counsel. Strong client relationships are based on trust, assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending financial solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs.

They are also responsible for originating and closing consumer loans, opening accounts, and opening and/or closing the branch.

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.

This role has multiple levels, open to candidates with 1 year to 5 years minimum experience in customer service and sales. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

  • Client Relationship Consultant 1
    • Respond to customer needs with proactive outreach and follow up.
    • Engage and communicate effectively with clients.
    • Understand and apply bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems.
    • Deliver customer service and interpersonal skills to support banking goals.
    • Demonstrate digital products and self-service technologies; identify customer needs with a digital-first mindset.
    • Make appropriate recommendations to meet customer needs reactively and proactively.
    • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Client Relationship Consultant 2
    • Typically 3–4 years of job-related retail banking experience or equivalent training.
    • All responsibilities of Level 1 plus deeper engagement with clients and broader policy knowledge.
    • Preferred: experience with digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Client Relationship Consultant 3
    • Typically 4–5 years of job-related retail banking experience or equivalent training.
    • Thorough knowledge of bank and branch policies and all retail products and services.
    • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions; strong digital-first mindset.
    • Advanced level of proficiency in making recommendations that meet customer needs.
  • Client Relationship Consultant 4
    • Typically 5+ years of job-related retail banking experience or equivalent training.
    • Advanced knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and support systems; thorough knowledge of all retail products and services.
    • Proven ability to lead relationships with clients, including participating in sales campaigns/promotions and supervising or mentoring others.
  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Typically has a minimum of one to two years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
    • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
    • Basic knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
