We are seeking a Principal‑level Software Engineer
to join the team in the design and development of scalable, data‑intensive applications within the grid planning and power engineering domain
. This role is ideal for a senior technologist who combines strong full‑stack development expertise with a data engineering mindset and a passion for building highly scalable complex software systems.

You will play a key role in shaping system architecture and data flows, implementing new data analysis methods and application features, optimizing performance, and deploying solutions that take advantage of modern cloud‑native storage and compute technologies.

• Architect, design, and implement full‑stack software solutions (backend‑focused with frontend integration as needed)
• Develop and maintain robust services using Python, Java and related frameworks
• Design, implement, and optimize SQL/relational database schemas and queries
• Work closely with domain experts in power systems / power engineering to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Lead performance analysis and optimization across application and data layers
• Apply a data engineering mindset to system design, focusing on scalability, reliability, and observability

• Principal‑level experience as a full‑stack software developer
  , with expertise in Python and working knowledge of Java
• Strong architectural and design thinking
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience developing applications for cloud environments
• Willingness and interest in working within the power engineering domain
• Understanding of basic Linux and networking concepts

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar data platforms
• Experience with Java Script
• Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, JMS, or similar)
• Background in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
