Our client is looking for a Tooling Technician to join their team in Liberty, MO.

Summary

To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance area/shift leader.

Job Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair problems on plant facilities and production equipment that are electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic in nature.

Troubleshoot tooling issues.

Assist in the implementation and improvement of effective preventive maintenance programs for all equipment, performing scheduled maintenance on facilities and production equipment as required.

Handle tooling setup and basic operation of equipment.

Assist in dimensional improvements requiring tooling shim moves to improve part quality.

Maintain and update equipment records, shim logs, schematics, blueprints, and files in an orderly fashion.

Obtain and attend training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements and other training as required.

Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations.

Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software.

Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory.

Handle confidential information on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Education and/or

Experience:

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Once the job is accepted, schooling is required per MAINT

- Skill Trades Progression.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts as appropriate.
Knowledge of all machines (Lathes, Milling Machines, Grinders, Drill Presses and Saws).
Setting up parts on machines and basic CNC programming.
Ability to apply reverse engineering of parts to remake parts.
Perform routine tasks in bench repair, assembly, machinery upkeep, layout, inspection, quality control, welding, drilling, tapping sizing, tooling assembly, fitting parts.
