Under general supervision, this seasonal position is responsible for reconciling payments made vs. the point-of-sale (POS) data for accounts operating under a Scan-based Trading (SBT) program.

This role may also involve working with various customer contacts via email to collect funds resulting in discrepancies in payment, request corrections for erroneous sales data, and to resolve account documentation found during the payment reconciliation.

This position typically requires an associate degree in accounting or a related field and 1+ years of relevant experience. Mastery of Microsoft Excel is a must. The duration of this role will be four months, depending on business need.

• Pulls payment details from internal reports or from retailer or 3rd party portals to confirm payments are timely, complete and for accurate costs.
• Pulls point-of-sale (POS) data, monitors data integrity by searching for gaps, duplicate data and changes in sales volume.
• Uses Excel to identify discrepancies between payment and sales data.
• Works collaboratively within a team environment to research and resolve customer account issues.
• Keeps track of payment reconciliation ledgers.
• Researches and resolves cash application issues.
• Handles customer correspondence and communications related to payments, sales data or general account questions.
• Responds promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and provides accurate information or resolutions.
• Assists with additional customer communications or projects for other departments as needed.
• Troubleshoots issues and delivers timely, efficient solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

• High school diploma required.
• Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external Ferrellgas customers.
• Use of Microsoft Office applications (proficient with Word, and mastery of Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
