Position: Project Assistant - Kansas City

Position Summary

The Project Assistant supports project managers and field teams by coordinating documentation, schedules, and communication throughout construction projects in Liberty, MO.

Responsibilities
  • Compile and format submittals with the Project Managers
  • Request close‑out documents and assist in preparing Operation & Maintenance Manuals
  • File, track, and log safety logs, daily logs, budgets, and weekly planning forms
  • Conduct initial pricing for change orders for approval by the Project Manager
  • Track change orders, RFIs, and submittals through project duration
  • Update meeting schedules and active job lists
  • Secure permits and assist in licensing requirements for projects
  • Make travel arrangements and complete expense reports for team members
  • Assist in monitoring labor rates and hours
  • Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and customers as needed
  • Attend weekly Foremen meetings as required
  • File project documents (hard and soft copies)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Performance Accountabilities
  • Maintain relationships with staff, operations personnel, vendors, and suppliers
  • Resolve problems affecting production schedules
  • Resolve complaints and grievances with vendors and suppliers
  • Ensure accuracy of work
  • Conform to procurement policies and procedures
  • Achieve established goals and objectives set by the manager
  • Complete tasks and assignments in a timely manner
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (required)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills (required)
  • Exceptional multi‑tasking and follow‑through skills (required)
  • Experience in construction office support (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project (preferred)
