Job Summary: The Safety Coordinator oversees and enhances our safety programs within the electrical services division. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting training, performing site inspections, and promoting a culture of safety across all projects and service calls. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of OSHA standards, electrical safety practices, and experience in safety program management.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures specific to electrical work.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other relevant safety standards.
  • Maintain safety documentation including incident reports, training records, and inspection logs.
  • Conduct safety orientations for new hires and ongoing training for field staff.
  • Organize toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency response drills.
  • Provide guidance on proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazard identification.
  • Perform regular job site inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Document findings and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure safe work practices are being followed.
  • Respond to workplace incidents and coordinate emergency procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Track safety metrics such as incident rates, training completion, and audit results.
  • Stay current with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • 2+ years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in electrical or construction environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and lead safety initiatives.
  • Certification in safety (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST) is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

This position is primarily an office position but may require travel to job sites in other states.
