Sr. Electrical Estimator

Bart’s Electric is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Estimator III to lead commercial estimating efforts for large-scale and complex electrical construction projects. This senior-level role is responsible for managing the full bid process from conceptual budgeting through final proposal submission.

The Estimator III operates independently, mentors junior estimators, and plays a key role in securing profitable work for the company.

• Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates for large commercial electrical projects
• Review and interpret complex drawings, specifications, and design documents
• Perform advanced quantity takeoffs and labor projections
• Develop conceptual and design-build budgets
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Identify scope gaps, risk factors, and value engineering opportunities
• Conduct pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Collaborate with project management for seamless handoff
• Assist in developing bid strategies and pricing recommendations
• Mentor Estimator I & II team members
• Maintain and improve historical cost databases

• 7+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience
• Strong background in commercial electrical construction
• Experience estimating projects $5M+ preferred
• Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Con Est, McCormick, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong understanding of labor productivity and cost analysis
• Ability to manage multiple high-value bids simultaneously

• Journeyman Electrician background
• Experience in design-build and negotiated projects
• Leadership or mentoring experience
