Overview
The Estoria at Norterre Rehabilitation and Recovery is seeking an Activities Director. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and implement a program of activity and leisure pursuits for residents.
- Ensure activities align with residents’ social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs as outlined in the resident care plan.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to support resident well-being and quality of life.
- Maintain a professional image in appearance and behavior.
- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area; should be licensed or registered nationally or by the State in which practicing
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
- Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
