Human Resources Generalist Position Summary
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training and development, policy interpretation, benefits administration, compliance, and HR reporting. This role partners closely with leadership in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment to support workforce expansion, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Essential Responsibilities Employee Relations & Engagement- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers by addressing workplace concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting positive employee relations.
- Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Support and administer disciplinary procedures, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Review and document employee terminations to ensure compliance and proper recordkeeping.
- Assist with the development and implementation of employee engagement programs and retention initiatives.
- Support leadership in implementing company-wide initiatives, culture-building efforts, and organizational changes.
- Identify staffing needs in partnership with department managers.
- Develop and post job advertisements across appropriate platforms.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure alignment with organizational needs and culture.
- Coordinate interview processes and assist hiring managers with candidate selection.
- Conduct reference and background checks as required.
- Prepare offer letters and manage pre-employment processes.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide reporting on hiring activity.
- Support workforce planning and talent pipeline development initiatives.
- Organize and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
- Coordinate training schedules and ensure completion of required compliance training.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records.
- Prepare and maintain personnel files in accordance with facility and corporate policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Administer benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries.
- Support hourly pay administration and timekeeping processes.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate required HR reports.
- Oversee safety programs in compliance with applicable regulations and promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards.
- Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Support special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the HR function and organizational goals.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in employee relations, recruitment, and training coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation abilities.
- Proficient in HRIS, ATS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and attention to detail skills.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
