Infrastructure and AV Technician

The Infrastructure and AV Technician's role involves integrating audio-visual technology to enhance the learning environment, installing and maintaining various types of cabling, providing technical support to site administrators, staff, and students, and resolving building site issues.

This is a temporary position.

• Monday through Friday, with occasional work outside standard business days.
• Hours vary based on the project assigned.

Pay

$22.98- $28.85per hour (based on relevant work experience)

• Installs cabling through walls, ceilings, door frames, etc. to code to maintain and update overall site operations in District facilities.
• Installs, tests, and maintains AV and security-related equipment for maintaining and updating overall site operations.
• Maintains manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. inventory database,preventive maintenance, purchases, inspections, repair logs, etc.) to document activities, convey information, and provide an up-to-date reference and audit trail.
• Performs audio-visual related/cabling troubleshooting to maintain site operations.
• Prepares status reports, user guides, and materials to document activities, provide written references, and convey information.
• Provide audio-visual support and training throughout the District to support staff.
• Provide in-classroom support and information regarding procedures, processes, and safety for technology-related equipment. (e.g. Applied Technology, Library Media Center and Telecommunications, etc.)
• Researches computer solutions and thelatest technology that provides best practices in technology to the district.
• Responds to requests for assistance through multiple communication methods regarding technology-related issues to provide quick, quality service within a reasonable timeframe.
• Transports and sets up computer/AV equipment to district and district-approved buildings toprovide technology resources on time.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of thework unit.

• High School diploma required
• Job-related experience is required.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
