Logistics Area Leader
Magna is seeking a Logistics Area Leader to support material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and supplier relationships to ensure customer demand is met while maintaining efficient inventory levels and uninterrupted production operations.
What You'll Do- Coordinate production schedules, releases, and forecasts with suppliers and internal teams
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively address supply chain risks that could impact production or customer deliveries
- Analyze material demand and consumption trends to support production requirements
- Work closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to support customer requirements
- Manage supplier relationships, delivery performance, and material availability
- Maintain ERP, MRP, and EDI systems to support planning and inventory accuracy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives involving inventory management, Kanban systems, and supply chain optimization
- Lead and support material planning, inventory analysis, and logistics operations
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in program planning, scheduling, logistics, or supply chain operations in the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, JIT, and logistics operations
- Experience using ERP, MRP/MPS, EDI, and other supply chain management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- APICS certification is a plus
- Experience with continuous improvement, Kanban systems, FIFO, PFEP, or Kaizen activities is preferred
