• Confirm that correct material is pulled for order
• Assemble product, lap seating surfaces, assemble valve with spring. (mold diaphragms and cut gaskets)
• Test product per manufacturer standards
• Complete test reports, seal and tag product and take to shipping area when paperwork is completed
• Assist shipping department as needed
• Attend and participate in quality team meetings, safety meetings and other training
• Perform other duties as assigned based on work load and business need

• Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a valve assembler in similar industry

• Basic math skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Problem solving and formulations
• Basic computer skills
• Safety Relief Valve Knowledge
• Reading and proofreading
• Reasoning and analyzing
• Knowledgeable in operating testing equipment, lapping equipment and forklift
• Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments

• Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies
• Attention to detail
• Concern for quality, accuracy and safety
• Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
• Ability to work well with others, including subordinates, peers, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes
• Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
