Final Assembly Supervisor - 2nd Shift

This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift. The Final Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the final assembly area, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role leads a team of assembly personnel, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating daily activities of the final assembly team, ensuring production schedules are met with minimal downtime, monitoring workflow, staffing levels, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency, collaborating with planning, engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, ensuring all products meet quality standards and customer specifications, enforcing adherence to company policies, work instructions, and safety procedures, conducting regular inspections and audits to maintain quality and compliance, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects or assembly issues, training, coaching, and mentoring assembly team members, conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing feedback, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment, addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts as needed, maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA and company safety standards, conducting safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations, identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, identifying opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste, supporting lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, etc.),

tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and efficiency, maintaining accurate production records and reports, monitoring labor hours, attendance, and overtime, assisting with budgeting and cost control initiatives.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, 3-5 years of manufacturing or assembly experience, 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred, strong leadership and team management skills, knowledge of assembly processes and manufacturing systems, problem-solving and decision-making ability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, ability to read blueprints and technical documents (if applicable).
