Position Title: Final Assembly Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Wage: Based on Experience

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 4:30pm - 3:00am (Monday - Thursday)

The Final Assembly Supervisor oversees daily operations within the final assembly area, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role leads a team of assembly personnel, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Final Assembly Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the final assembly team
  • Ensure production schedules are met with minimal downtime
  • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency
  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications
  • Enforce adherence to company policies, work instructions, and safety procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality and compliance
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects or assembly issues
  • Train, coach, and mentor assembly team members
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts as needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA and company safety standards
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations
  • Identify and mitigate workplace hazards
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports
  • Monitor labor hours, attendance, and overtime
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control initiatives
Requirements for Final Assembly Supervisor
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and manufacturing systems
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents (if applicable)
