Position Title: Final Assembly Supervisor - 2nd Shift
Wage: Based on Experience
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 4:30pm - 3:00am (Monday - Thursday)
The Final Assembly Supervisor oversees daily operations within the final assembly area, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role leads a team of assembly personnel, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Final Assembly Supervisor Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the final assembly team
- Ensure production schedules are met with minimal downtime
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency
- Collaborate with planning, engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications
- Enforce adherence to company policies, work instructions, and safety procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality and compliance
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects or assembly issues
- Train, coach, and mentor assembly team members
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts as needed
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA and company safety standards
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations
- Identify and mitigate workplace hazards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and efficiency
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Monitor labor hours, attendance, and overtime
- Assist with budgeting and cost control initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred - 3-5 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
- 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of assembly processes and manufacturing systems
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents (if applicable)
