Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Plasma Table Operator to safely and accurately operate computer-controlled machinery to produce high-quality parts and materials. This role involves working with materials that are difficult to shape manually or with conventional equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining safety and precision in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a 5‑axis plasma table to perform straight cuts, bevel cuts, holes, and complex shapes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications to determine requirements.
• Convert design instructions into machine‑readable computer commands.
• Load raw materials and components onto the table using a forklift or crane.
• Conduct test runs to verify machine accuracy and output quality.
• Operate machinery through full production cycles to fabricate parts efficiently.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily checks to ensure equipment functionality.
• Assist with fabrication projects when not operating the plasma table.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Plasma Table Operator.
• Proficiency in operating plasma cutting equipment and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical documents.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with machine programming.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a results‑driven mindset.
• Experience with Pro Nest and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate or diploma in a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to move around equipment and work areas safely and efficiently.
