Mechanical Assembler

This role focuses on mechanically upfitting and assembling trucks, including Ford F-150 and U-Haul vehicles, in a modern, climate-controlled facility. You will read and interpret blueprints, use a variety of hand and power tools, and follow daily instructions to complete high-quality mechanical assemblies and modifications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical upfitting and assembly on Ford F-150 trucks and U-Haul vehicles according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute accurate mechanical assemblies.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, install, and modify mechanical components.
  • Follow day-to-day instructions and work orders to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, function, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Handle basic mechanical troubleshooting during the upfitting and assembly process.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on mechanical experience, such as mechanical upfitting, automotive work, or similar assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency using common hand tools and power tools in a mechanical or assembly environment.
  • Experience working on vehicles, such as personal car repair or automotive-related work.
  • Mechanical aptitude gained through roles such as mechanic, upfitter, lube technician, farmer, or farm hand.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a production setting.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Background in automotive assembly or mechanical assembly is highly beneficial.
  • Experience in roles such as mechanic, upfitter, lube technician, or assembler.
  • Practical experience from farming or farm hand work, demonstrating mechanical and hands-on skills.
  • Comfort working with basic mechanical systems and performing routine mechanical tasks.
  • Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
