Position Overview We are currently looking for a detail-focused and proactive Cost Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for custom truck equipment. You will work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure that each quote meets both customer requirements and company standards. Your ability to interpret technical drawings, understand production processes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities Prepare precise cost estimates for custom equipment, including service bodies, line bodies, flatbeds, and accessories.
Partner with Sales, Design, Production, Purchasing, and Operations teams to gather specifications, clarify project details, and recommend appropriate configurations.
Ensure all estimates are aligned with customer expectations, production capabilities, and material availability.
Promote a culture of safety and respect within the workplace.
Communicate clearly with team members and management to align on priorities and timelines.
Learn and apply consistent estimating standards alongside the broader estimating team.
Support production timelines by maintaining accuracy and dependability in all work.
Contribute to other departmental or company-wide initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Skills Prior experience in the truck equipment industry or related manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Dependable, self-driven, and comfortable working independently or in a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
Quick learner with the ability to apply standard operating procedures effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Positive attitude with a consistent record of meeting deadlines and delivering results.
