Job OverviewBaker Hughes is a leading global energy technology company. In this role, you will contribute to the manufacturing of high‑precision components used in rupture disc assemblies. You will ensure accuracy, safety, and quality while working with advanced machining tools, robotics, and inspection equipment. Your craftsmanship directly supports the reliability and performance of our products.
Responsibilities- Determine setup requirements by reviewing blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on materials to guide machining operations.
- Machining bar stock to required dimensions with precision.
- Interact with co‑bots and robotic tools to enhance machining efficiency.
- Verify conformance of finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as CMM and optical comparators.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machining equipment as needed.
- Comply with productivity and quality standards to meet operational goals.
- Operate a forklift when required to support material movement.
- Perform additional duties based on workload and business needs.
- High school diploma or GED; a certificate in CIMM or related industrial technology is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a job shop or high‑mix, low‑volume production environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Intermediate math and reading skills.
- Working knowledge of lathes, mills, and other machine shop equipment.
- Ability to write and modify CNC programs.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety.
- Ability to stay focused and manage time effectively.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with peers, supervisors, management, and external partners.
- Motor skills sufficient to safely operate tools and machinery.
- Ability to stand or walk for most of an 8–10‑hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper techniques.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
