Assistant Web Press Operator

We are seeking an Assistant Web Press Operator to join their production team in Missouri. This position is a strong opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and interested in building a long-term career in web offset printing.

• Starting pay: $23/hour
• Open to candidates with 0–1 years of experience

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Multiple roll stand configurations
• Double-former delivery systems
• Rotary cutter delivery systems
• Combo folder delivery systems
• Sheeter delivery systems
• Closed-loop color systems

• Assist press operators with setup, operation, and shutdown of web offset press equipment
• Help prepare and monitor paper rolls, roll stands, web feeding, and delivery systems
• Support press crews during production runs to maintain quality and efficiency
• Monitor print quality, color, registration, and overall production flow
• Assist with folding, cutting, sheeting, and delivery operations
• Make basic adjustments under the direction of press operators or leads
• Help troubleshoot production issues and communicate concerns to the team
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance support, and housekeeping around the press
• Follow job tickets, production schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Work closely with press operators, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals

• Web offset printing experience preferred, but not required
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required
• Prior experience in print manufacturing, production equipment, bindery, or manufacturing is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
• Comfortable working around large production equipment
• Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
• Must be open to working 2nd or 3rd shift

The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn the web offset printing trade. A strong candidate will have a good work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to support a press crew in a fast-paced production environment.

$18 - $23 an hour
