We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a RN Hospice Administrator to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with strong leadership experience in hospice care, home health, or clinical operations management.

The Administrator RN I provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for an assigned Hospice location with a developing census.
Essential Functions- Provide hands‑on leadership for a hospice program with growth opportunity, accountable for clinical quality, operational performance, and sustainable census expansion.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and/or service.
- Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in day‑to‑day activities.
- Promote and monitor compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting, licensing, and regulatory agencies.
- Use statistical and qualitative information to manage quality.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed and kept current.
- Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures in collaboration with the Governing Body.
- Manage Human Resources effectively.
- Promote positive communications and keep employees informed of changes through meetings and documentation.
- Provide core orientation, job‑specific orientation, in‑service training, and continuing education for staff, volunteers, and contract personnel.
- Supervise, evaluate, and provide career development for interdisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate with the Governing Body and corporate leadership to establish goals and standards for performance.
- Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations and disciplinary actions in accordance with policy.
- Manage Office Operations effectively.
- Lead multiple teams, plan and organize tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals.
- Monitor and supervise quality of patient care across assigned locations.
- Process emergency calls and manage incident reporting with corrective actions.
- Prepare, monitor, and review monthly bills, expenses, payroll, and other financial obligations.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services and marketing materials.
- Incorporate safety topics into staff meetings and ensure all employees understand their role in safety policies.
- Manage Financial Resources prudently and effectively.
- Complete financial reviews and meet budgetary goals, reporting variances with justification.
- Anticipate resource needs and develop budgets to support needed services.
- Control use of overtime and temporary personnel, and pursue cost‑saving opportunities without affecting quality.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Education:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school preferred.
- Experience:
- Three to five years’ healthcare management experience preferred.
- Minimum one year of management/supervisory experience required.
- Two or more years’ experience in hospice/home care required.
- Meeting all state‑specific requirements for the Administrator role.
- Preferred:
Three years’ experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting. - Strong understanding of hospice regulations, compliance, and Medicare conditions of participation.
- Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and interdisciplinary operations.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to high‑quality, compassionate care for patients and families.
- Licenses, Certifications and/or Registration:
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment, if applicable.
- CPR Certification.
- Current automobile insurance and valid driver’s license.
