Avalon View Health and Wellness is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants to join our night-shift nursing team in Liberty, Missouri.
This position is ideal for a CNA who remains attentive throughout the night, responds promptly to residents’ needs, and understands the importance of providing calm, respectful care. You will help residents remain safe, comfortable, and supported while building meaningful relationships with the people entrusted to our care.

POSITION DETAILS- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotating weekends
- Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available
- Pay range: $18 to $20 per hour
- $2,500 sign-on bonus
- $2.50 per hour 11pm-7am
- $3.50 per hour weekend differential when applicable
Sign-on bonus, starting rate, and shift differentials are subject to applicable eligibility requirements and program terms.

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care and assists residents with daily and overnight needs under the direction of a licensed nurse. This includes personal care, mobility, toileting, repositioning, hydration, comfort, bedtime routines, morning care, and other services provided within the CNA’s authorized scope of practice.
The CNA helps residents maintain as much independence as possible while ensuring their safety, dignity, privacy, and individual preferences are respected.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral care, and other personal hygiene needs
- Provide bedtime, overnight, and morning care according to each resident’s individualized care plan
- Assist residents with snacks, supplements, and hydration as directed
- Assist residents with walking, transferring, turning, repositioning, and range-of-motion activities
- Safely use wheelchairs, mechanical lifts, and other approved equipment according to resident needs and facility procedures
- Complete scheduled rounds and respond promptly and respectfully to call lights and requests for assistance
Support residents experiencing confusion, restlessness, or other overnight needs using calm and appropriate approaches - Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, skin integrity, appetite, mobility, or level of functioning to the licensed nurse
- Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, weights, and other information as assigned
- Document the care provided and the resident’s response accurately and within required time frames
- Follow resident care plans, infection prevention practices, and safety procedures
- Maintain clean and comfortable resident rooms and personal areas within the scope of assigned duties
- Protect resident rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Missouri
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to remain attentive and responsive throughout the overnight shift
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the nursing team
