Position Title: Senior Maintenance Tech

Wage: $35-$38/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Senior Maintenance Tech for a company in Liberty, MO. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.

• Perform daily, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to support production uptime
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance logs, PM checklists, spare parts inventory, and workorder documentation
• Inspect building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, compressed air, and structural components
• Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Operators, and other Maintenance Technicians to resolve equipment issues
• Assist with coordinating and overseeing work performed by outside contractors and vendors
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Recommend improvements to processes, tools, and equipment to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, maintenance shops, and storage spaces
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency repair needs

• Minimum 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or welding environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Working knowledge of basic trades, including welding, equipment repair, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics, drawings, manuals, and PM procedures
• Proficiency with computer-based maintenance systems (CMMS), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Leadership qualities are a must
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call shifts as required
• Preferred experience using CMMS or digital maintenance software
• Preferred welding, fabrication, and paint system experience
• Preferred OSHA 10 or relevant safety certifications
• Preferred Industrial electrical training or licensing (where applicable)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and working in tight spaces
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Professionalism and customer service mindset when interacting with operators, supervisors, and vendors
• Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple tasks or work orders
