Senior Maintenance Technician

Wage: $35.00–$38.00 per hour.

Shift: 1st shift.

Hours:

6:00am–4:30pm Monday–Thursday.

Location:

Liberty, MO. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to support production uptime.
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance logs, PM checklists, spare parts inventory, and work‑order documentation.
  • Inspect building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, compressed air, and structural components.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Operators, and other Maintenance Technicians to resolve equipment issues.
  • Assist with coordinating and overseeing work performed by outside contractors and vendors.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, tools, and equipment to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, maintenance shops, and storage spaces.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hours emergency repair needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or welding environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Working knowledge of basic trades, including welding, equipment repair, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics, drawings, manuals, and PM procedures.
  • Proficiency with computer‑based maintenance systems (CMMS), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership qualities are a must.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and on‑call shifts as required.
  • Preferred experience using CMMS or digital maintenance software.
  • Preferred welding, fabrication, and paint system experience.
  • Preferred OSHA 10 or relevant safety certifications.
  • Preferred industrial electrical training or licensing (where applicable).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Professionalism and customer service mindset when interacting with operators, supervisors, and vendors.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple tasks or work orders.
