Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Field Service Supervisor to lead field installation and service activities for industrial wear protection systems. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring extensive travel to customer industrial facilities across the United States. The Field Service Supervisor will work alongside field crews while coordinating daily job-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to established quality standards.
The position will also support welding, fabrication, equipment preparation, estimating, and shop operations when not traveling.
- Install ceramic, refractory, and other industrial wear protection products at customer locations.
- Supervise and work alongside field crews during installation projects.
- Coordinate daily job-site activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and logistics.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Enforce company and customer safety policies and proactively identify workplace hazards.
- Act as the primary on-site company representative and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Provide project updates and assist with resolving job-site issues.
- Support project planning, equipment staging, material coordination, staffing, and transportation.
- Monitor project progress, labor utilization, and costs.
- Provide input for estimating, quoting, scheduling, and project forecasting.
- Mentor, train, and coach field personnel on technical skills, safety, and teamwork.
- Assist with MIG welding, fabrication, equipment preparation, and shop production activities when not traveling.
- Help develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational processes.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Experience in industrial field service, construction, maintenance, fabrication, or a related industry.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- MIG welding, refractory, concrete, or industrial maintenance experience is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50-75%, including overnight and extended project assignments.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 50-75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to safely work around heavy machinery and active industrial job sites.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and demanding industrial environments.
- Full-time position.
- Field assignments may require 12-hour shifts and up to 7 days per week, depending on project requirements.
- Extensive overnight and extended travel may be required.
- When not traveling, the employee will support shop and fabrication operations.
- Successful completion of a background check.
