NTHS Advisor Stipend
- Career And Technical Education School Year
Term of employment: 10 month
Reports to:
Building Principal
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities include:
- Promote the National Technical Honor Society by building support and collaboration among CTE faculty to encourage participation from all eligible programs.
- Plan and host an introductory NTHS information session or kickoff event at the beginning of the school year.
- Develop a comprehensive year-long NTHS plan that includes goals, activities, service projects, leadership opportunities, and chapter events.
- Collaborate with student officers and chapter members to plan, organize, and implement meetings and activities throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
- Review and ensure compliance with all Sullivan BOCES and NTHS policies regarding student organizations and extracurricular activities.
- Conduct chapter meetings approximately every six weeks to promote student engagement, leadership development, and chapter business.
- Coordinate the student application, interview, and selection process in collaboration with the CTE NTHS Selection Committee.
- Prepare and organize all materials, communications, and logistics for the annual NTHS Induction Ceremony.
- Coordinate student service projects and leadership activities that align with NTHS's mission and goals.
- Maintain accurate chapter records, membership rosters, meeting minutes, and required NTHS documentation.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, CTE faculty, and administration regarding NTHS activities, expectations, and deadlines.
- Coordinate, organize, and facilitate the annual end-of-year NTHS Recognition and Celebration in collaboration with CTE Administration.
- Submit the required reports, membership information, and dues to the National Technical Honor Society by the established deadlines.
- Serve as the primary liaison among the chapter, CTE Administration, faculty, students, and the National Technical Honor Society.
- Promote the values of scholarship, leadership, service, skill, honesty, responsibility, citizenship, and professionalism throughout all chapter activities
