Crush Crop Operator

This position is responsible for cutting and flattening crush samples to verify the quality of the weld as well as cropping any pipe with visible defects.

• Cut off pipe for Crusher Test as required.
• Report results of Crush Test to Quality Control, Mill Operator, Team Leader and Supervisor.
• Cut out open seam, bad OD and  any other defects in the pipe.
• Change saw blades as needed.
• Record length of scrap cut.
• Assist all mill changes.
• Inform manager of any problems with equipment or product.
• Assist Maintenance with minor repairs.

Education: High School or equivalent

1+ year in a manufacturing environment.

Forklift certified, crane certified

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, or use arms and hands to load and unload material for extended periods. Must be able to safely lift and load 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions. Candidates must tolerate any climate and be flexible with shift and hours.
