Preventive Maintenance Techs are responsible for performing tasks on machinery and equipment to promote consistent and reliable operation of key components.
Responsibilities- Check and record fluid levels, cleanliness, and temperatures of various coolants, oils as required.
- Identify early warning signs of potential equipment failure (unusual data readings, noises, sounds, smells, other indicators).
- Use basic monitoring tools to gather data from equipment (temperature guns, multimeters, ammeters, etc.).
- Communicate with equipment operators to gather feedback on machine reliability and performance.
- Suggest changes and improvements to maintain equipment reliability and performance.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks as directed (bolt on/off piping, valves, adding fluids, changing filters, purging/bleeding systems).
- Communicate with operators and maintenance team regarding additional actions needed to promote equipment reliability.
- Assist maintenance team with projects/repairs as needed.
- High School or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
- 1+ year in a mechanically or electrically oriented role (preferably industrial).

Read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, memos, and reports; present information to individuals and groups. - Mathematical
Skills:
Perform basic arithmetic, calculate rates and percentages, interpret bar graphs; apply basic algebra and geometry. - Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense to follow instructions; solve problems with several concrete variables. - Computer Literacy:
Use Word, Excel, and other HP programs such as e‑mail, ERP system.

Physical DemandsRegularly required to stand, walk, use arms and hands to load and unload material for an extended period. Must safely lift and load 50 lb. Must work outside in a variety of conditions and tolerate any climate. Candidates must be flexible with shift and hours.
