Responsible for controlling the movement and handling of product

• Works under general supervision in accordance with verbal instructions and prescribed procedures
• Driving diesel powered front end loaders with forks to move, lift or stack products in the yard.
• Exercises care to assure load is balanced and safe.
• Loads and unloads material in an orderly safe manner
• Stays alert to note load shifts, improper balance and vehicle malfunction
• Performs daily and preventative maintenance to forklifts.
• Notifies supervisor of any problems.
• Performs additional responsibilities in accordance with company requirements.

  High School or equivalent
• Years of
  
  Experience:
  
  2+ years’ experience in a shipping department preferable in the manufacturing of pipe and tube

  Skills:
  
  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Mathematical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability:
  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  Skills and Abilities:
  
  Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.

Must be able to operate a Front End loader with forks. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must have good verbal communication skills. Must be willing to work rotating shifts. Must have safety as a priority. Ideal candidate will have excellent attendance, good work ethic, able to work overtime as needed.
