  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of education or with children and youth with advanced social-emotional, mental health, and behavioral needs
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience training or coaching team or staff in school and/or agency settings
  • Certification as a Behavior Analyst through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required
  • The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for providing behavioral consultation and coaching to programs to support teams in meeting the individual needs of students, to improve both academic and social competences
  • The BCBA will work closely with all teachers, support staff and building leadership to establish socially significant behavior change and attain positive intervention outcomes by providing consultation demonstrating strong knowledge and experience using evidence-based practices
  • This can include but not limited to dialectical behavior therapy (DBT); cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Coach teachers, support staff and clinicians on developing and implementing positive behavior support plans and intervention techniques
  • Participate in school leadership and problem-solving team (PST) meetings serving as an active participant in the development and implementation of school wide positive behavior intervention supports
  • Consult with general education and special education teachers and special services providers related to individual student needs, including behavior intervention plans and IEP goals addressing social-emotional and behavioral needs of students
  • Take a leadership role in consulting, collaboration and supporting school teams in conducting FBA's and developing and implementing student Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity
  • Demonstrate expertise in data collection and behavior analysis
  • Assists in writing comprehensive functional assessments, behavior intervention plans, or programmatic recommendations for individual students
  • Provide training in the use of data collection, positive behavior supports, intervention techniques, and instructional methodologies to educational staff
