Senior Molding Manufacturing Engineer
Location:
Libertyville, IL
Seeking a Senior Molding Manufacturing Engineer with 7+ years of experience in injection molding process engineering to support molding operations, optimize processes, troubleshoot mold issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support and optimize injection molding processes to improve quality and productivity.
- Troubleshoot mold, material, and process issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
- Lead validation activities (
IQ/OQ/PQ
) and mold qualifications. - Participate in FAT/SAT activities for new molds and equipment.
- Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Production teams on continuous improvement projects.
- Prepare technical documentation, protocols, and reports.
- Provide technical guidance and support to production teams.
- Travel to Europe as required for equipment transfers and supplier support.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of injection molding process engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in mold troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ validations, Scientific Molding, DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma tools
. - Familiarity with FAT/SAT and equipment qualification processes.
