Summary

The Lead Financial Analyst serves as a strategic financial advisor and business partner to the Canadian business unit, with clear accountability for influencing operating and strategic decisions, providing data‑driven insights that support performance and alignment with company strategic objectives. The role translates enterprise and functional strategy into actionable financial insights, scenarios, and recommendations across strategic planning, annual operating planning, pricing, product flow, and key business analyses.

This position collaborates cross‑functionally with global and local marketing, market access, product development, sales, operations, legal, and finance teams to ensure alignment on financial assumptions, prioritization, trade‑offs, and outcomes that drive business results.

Hollister Incorporated operates in a hybrid work environment. Employees are expected to come into the office a minimum of 4 days per week. Sponsorship to work in the US is not available at this time.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to business unit leadership by proactively identifying financial risks, opportunities, and value drivers, and by recommending data‑backed courses of action that influence key business decisions.
  • Lead monthly financial and business review discussions, elevating reporting into forward‑looking insights, scenario analysis, and implications for strategic and operational decision‑making.
  • Develop, monitor, and interpret KPIs to assess progress against strategic and operational goals, identifying trends, root causes, and recommended actions.
  • Anticipate market, competitive, and business dynamics and advise leadership on financial implications, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Leverage emerging technologies, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance financial insight generation and decision quality.
  • Lead monthly close and management review processes, ensuring accuracy while framing results in the context of business performance, strategic objectives, and forward outlook.
  • Conduct complex financial analysis to evaluate alternatives, challenge assumptions, and guide management decisions.
  • Design and standardize financial reporting processes and templates to enable consistent, scalable, and decision‑oriented insights across the organization.
  • Analyze expense trends and cost drivers, clearly articulating root causes, risks and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Own preparation and interpretation of monthly P&L results, connecting financial outcomes to operational drivers and strategic priorities.
  • Lead annual operating plan, forecast, and projection processes, partnering with stakeholders to evaluate scenarios, trade‑offs, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while advising the business on financial governance implications of decisions and initiatives.
  • Deliver ad‑hoc analysis using Excel, Power BI, and advanced analytics to address emerging business questions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities that enhance analytical efficiency, insight quality, and scalability.
  • Lead and support financial work streams within cross‑functional and global initiatives, influencing alignment, and timely decision‑making without direct authority.
  • Partner with Accounting/CoE teams to ensure accurate month‑end close while proactively addressing issues that may impact business performance or reporting integrity.
