American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a Level 3 Trauma Center in the Racine, WI area, with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT certification required.
Details- Work in a 60-bed acute care hospital at a Level 3 Trauma Center located outside of Racine, WI
- Radiology department includes 2 diagnostic rooms, 1 fluoroscopy room; fluoroscopy is limited on night shift
- Inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient population; mostly adults with some pediatric cases
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Procedures include chest x-rays, long bone x-rays, C-arm, surgical cases, portables, and limited fluoroscopy
- Equipment includes Canon and GE portables, OEC C-arms, and Dell workstations with Canon plates
- PACS system is McKesson (preferred experience); EMR is Epic
- 12-hour night shifts, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM, Monday–Thursday (36 hours/week)
- Weekend rotation required; holiday coverage required when holidays fall on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday
- No mandatory on-call requirement; optional call shifts available
- No floating requirement within the unit, but portables may require travel throughout the hospital including OR and ED
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Wisconsin state license required if applicable
- Proficiency in chest x-rays, long bone x-rays, C-arm, surgical cases, portable imaging, and fluoroscopy
- Experience with Epic EMR
- McKesson PACS experience preferred
- Ability to work with adult and pediatric inpatient, outpatient, and ED populations
- COVID vaccination required
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required for consideration
- First-time travelers will be considered with a strong clinical background
- Orientation is 2–3 days based on candidate comfort level
- Transport support available 7:00 AM–9:00 PM;
Respiratory Therapy and Hospitalist coverage available 24/7 - Any scrub color is acceptable
- Free parking available on-site
