The Senior Cloud Engineer | Azure & Cloud Network Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimizing Azure cloud environments and cloud network architectures.

• Cloud Engineering / Networking:
  Develop, design and implement Azure Cloud Services including Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, and Monitoring.
• Design and implement networking solutions: VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, Express Route, SDWAN.
• Automation & Dev Ops:
  Design and implement support for ARM Templates, Terraform, Power Shell, CI/CD Pipelines.
• Performance & Cost Optimization:
  Autoscaling, Load Balancing, Reserved Instances.
• Design for scalability, reliability, availability, and security of systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and maintain resilient systems.
• Investigate and evaluate market and technology trends.
• Foster a collaborative troubleshooting environment.
• Lead infrastructure projects (e.g., Cloud integrations, system deployments, network upgrades).
• Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Monitor progress and address any issues.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement and adhere to and enforce security policies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST).
• Remediate vulnerabilities and provide systems built with security by design.
• Implementing a Zero Trust Architecture.
• Support Identity & Access Management Standards, Azure AD, RBAC.
• Evaluate technology vendors and ensure services and service levels are defined and considered.
• Maintain vendor relationships and monitor service levels.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
• Plan and test disaster recovery procedures.

• Work Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, administration and cybersecurity.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Number of Overall Years Necessary: 8-12.

• Designed and deployed Azure-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications for global operations.
• Implemented secure cloud networking using VNET peering, Express Route, and VPN gateways for hybrid connectivity.
• Led cloud migration projects, reducing on-prem footprint by 40% and achieving $500K annual cost savings.
• Developed Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates for consistent, automated deployments.
• Configured Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for proactive performance monitoring and alerting.
• Collaborated with security teams to enforce Zero Trust principles, RBAC, and encryption standards across environments.
• Engineered network architecture for multi-region Azure deployments ensuring high availability and low latency.
• Optimized network security posture through NSGs, Azure Firewall, and DDoS protection.
• Integrated Express Route circuits for secure, high-throughput connectivity between on-prem and Azure.
