The Operations Coordinator supports Rierden Chemical’s global supply chain, import operations, inventory management, compliance, customer service, product management, railcar logistics, quality programs, and technology initiatives. This position works cross-functionally with suppliers, logistics providers, customers, and internal teams to help ensure reliable product supply, accurate inventory, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate international supply chain and import activities, including supplier purchase orders, shipment tracking, documentation, freight coordination, customs clearance, and product receipt.
  • Support C-TPAT, supply chain security, tariff and duty compliance, customs documentation, and ACE Portal administration.
  • Maintain and monitor import records, HTS classifications, duty information, country-of-origin data, and other compliance documentation.
  • Manage inventory visibility, purchasing requirements, demand forecasting, and supply planning to help maintain appropriate stock levels and product availability.
  • Identify and communicate potential shortages, excess inventory, shipment delays, supply risks, and other operational exceptions.
  • Support Customer Service and Product Management with product availability, shipment timing, inventory information, supply forecasts, logistics issues, and supplier activity.
  • Support the company’s railcar program, including tracking railcar movements, inventory, availability, utilization, and coordination with suppliers, railroads, terminals, customers, and internal teams.
  • Support and manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) program, including documentation, investigation, corrective actions, follow-up, and trend analysis.
  • Maintain operational reports and data related to imports, inventory, logistics, suppliers, railcars, compliance, and NCR activity.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of technology, automation, and artificial intelligence tools to improve operational efficiency, reporting, forecasting, visibility, and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual work, strengthen compliance, lower costs, improve supply reliability, and enhance customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records, procedures, and documentation to support operational consistency and audit readiness.
