Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong vertical lathe experience who can set up, operate, and perform program edits in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You ll support production by ensuring precision, quality, and consistent workflow while maintaining a clean and safety-focused workspace.
Only candidates with hands-on CNC Vertical Lathe experience will be considered.
Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 4:00PM–12:30AM
Responsibilities- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Align vices and locate fixture centers accurately.
- Load, verify, and adjust tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and part drawings.
- Support all safety and quality system requirements.
- Set up and operate CNC vertical lathes for production runs.
- Perform edits and minor writing of CNC programs as needed.
- Operate 3-axis mills and perform basic 2-axis lathe work.
- Maintain accurate job and time entries in ERP software.
- Follow 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform daily and monthly preventive maintenance on machines.
- Communicate with Supervisor to ensure successful job completion.
- Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections using manual gauges.
- Upload/download CNC programs between machine and programmer.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic proficiency with ERP systems.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Proven experience operating CNC vertical lathes.
- Experience editing and writing CNC programs.
- Strong basic math skills, trigometry preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work full onsite shift.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Skilled in using manual inspection gauges and precision measurement tools.
- Solid communication skills and reliability.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Experience in a machinery or manufacturing environment.
