Precision Fabrication Welder — GTAW​/GMAW Specialist

Step into Your Evening Craft At 3:30 PM, you power up your station, review the day’s work orders, and set your jigs. You’ll toggle between GTAW (TIG) for clean precision and GMAW (MIG) for strong, efficient joints—always guided by layouts, prints, and weld symbols. By night’s end, you’ve built, repaired, and verified parts that meet spec and look as good as they perform.

The Schedule and Pay

Hours:

Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (2nd Shift)
Overtime:
Friday and Saturday as needed

Compensation: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience

What You’ll Do Interpret work orders, layouts, welding diagrams, and symbols to produce accurate assemblies.

Set up and secure components in jigs/fixtures; clamp precisely to layout marks.

Select process parameters, consumables, and equipment based on material and specifications.

Execute MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding with consistent quality.

Perform tack, vertical, and overhead welds confidently.

Self-inspect welds for bead size, appearance, and conformance to requirements.

Repair cracks, fill holes, and build up worn components when needed.

Grind, blend, and remove slag/spatter to achieve the required finish.

Clean and degrease parts to prepare for welding and finishing.

Follow established quality, process, and safety procedures at all times.

What You Bring Hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding.

Background in welding through prior roles or relevant technical training.

Ability to pass a weld test administered by a CWI.Comfort reading work orders, diagrams, layouts, and instructions.

Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Endurance to stand throughout the shift and lift up to 35 lbs.

Reliability and ease working in a manufacturing environment.

Nice to have: forklift operation and basic computer skills.
