Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• First-time travelers considered with 2 years of experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with Alaris IV pump, Pyxis, Jackson Table, Wilson frame, and Davinci SI robotic system
• Professional reference required, dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Work in the Surgery Room/OR of a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Patient population includes cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and Level 1 trauma cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Performs open heart, robotics (Davinci SI), vascular, and thoracic cases
• Hybrid OR experience preferred
• 12-bed unit
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from
• No floating required
• No weekend rotation required
• On-call requirement of 12 days per month
• Supported by charge nurse (typically without patient assignment), transport team, CRNA anesthesia, radiology, and OR leadership
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Magnet-designated, and Primary Stroke Center
• Orientation length ranges from 2 days to 1 week depending on experience, with no separate hospital orientation
• If scheduled on a holiday, candidate will be expected to work
• Procedural scrubs are provided by the facility

• Former Advocate Health employees or subsidiary employees must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
• Time off requests during the assignment are not pre-approved and must be submitted for review
