Quality Control Technician
Libertyville, IL, US
• Full Time
Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly
Job Overview:
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
- Discard or reject products, materials or equipment not meeting specifications.
- Recommend necessary corrective actions, based on inspection results.
- Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
- Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
- Participate in internal assessment and audits as required.
- Prepare and review required method transfer documentation including technical transfer protocols. (PPAP submissions)
- Perform visual inspections of finished products.
- Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocol.
- 1st shift positions are available:
Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm - Industry-competitive wage and benefits package including vacation, holiday/sick time, health/dental/vision insurance, bonuses, and a 401K plan.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Quality Control experience required, at least 2 years preferred.
- Experience working on a computer using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), design software (AutoCAD, Solid Works), and professional Outlook communication.
- Blueprint reading and GD&T experience beneficial.
- Strong listening and communication skills; ability to convey information clearly.
- Reliable, responsible, dependable; takes initiative.
- Eager to bring your skillset into an advanced manufacturing facility.
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Occasional workload may require overtime beyond a normal 8-hour workday.
- Detail-oriented and able to contribute to a team effort.
- Commitment to a zero-defect mentality and producing high-quality, American-made products.
- Ability to reach, turn, twist, and walk; withstand repetitive motion throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Engineering degree beneficial.
- 3–6 months of experience in a warehouse environment.
