Overview
The Village of Libertyville is seeking a Facilities Assistant to perform routine tasks and projects such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical maintenance, restocking supplies, painting, carpentry, and to complete work orders submitted by Village Departments. Occasional weekend and after-hours duties will be required.
Title: Facilities Assistant
Department: Public Works
Hiring Range: $55,524 – $68,192 (Dependent upon relevant experience)
Full Salary Range: $55,524 – $80,860

Required Knowledge and Skills- Building maintenance and custodial operations including HVAC, mechanical, electrical equipment, carpentry, plumbing
- Performing periodical building inspections
- Performing preventive maintenance work orders on vital equipment
- Minor carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical repairs, and improvements
- Exercise good judgment, maintain confidentiality, make responsible decisions per policies and procedures
- Prioritize, organize, and perform work independently and with other employees and contractors
- Utilize a personal computer and cell phone to receive issues during the day
- Use a computer for emails, research parts, and minor data entry to track departmental work
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in building maintenance
- Valid State of Illinois Class D Driver’s License
