Key Responsibilities- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Lead project planning efforts, including setting clear objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
- Budget & Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Monitor and control project costs, identify potential savings, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring they align with project agreements.
- Manage, mentor, and direct a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Hold regular site meetings to discuss project progress, address concerns, and resolve issues.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and regulations.
- Quality Control &
Risk Management: - Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
- Client Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing any issues or delays.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained before work begins.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred). - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field. - Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) (preferred) - Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Bluebeam MS Project).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to visit construction sites regularly.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment when necessary.
