Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

We’re seeking a talented, full‑time Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our school‑based services team in Kauai.

Professional License Requirements
  • Hold an active certification as a BCBA through Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Have active state‑level licensure as a Behavior Analyst (if applicable)
What to Expect from This Role

Experience working in schools or with children is a plus but not required.

  • Assist teachers/staff with completing initial or updated VB‑MAPP assessment for all students
  • Assist with individual program development for all students based on VB‑MAPP assessment
  • Assist with identifying preference assessment method and provide training and guidance to teachers and ABA coaches so they can implement the assessment and identify putative reinforcers
  • Conduct classroom site review according to scheduled timeframe
  • Provide consultation and training to teachers and special education assistants on intensive teacher and mand program procedures
  • Assist with identifying students ready for direct instruction programs and provide behavior skills training and resources to teachers on appropriate DI practices
  • Conduct transcription for IT/MAND procedures. Fidelity checks for use of instructional schedule, reinforcement, pairing, classroom organization, direct instruction and early learner programs
  • Support VB‑MAPP with IEP alignment
  • Collaborate weekly with assigned ABA coaches and therapists
  • Provide supervision to BACB supervises and RBTs as assigned
  • Develop appropriate programming to support natural environment training, social/play skills and inclusive practices
  • Ensure all FBAs and PBSP are functionally equivalent and assist with making PBSP ‘snap shots’ for team delivery

Job Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must have the ability to move freely throughout school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and therapy spaces.
  • The position frequently involves bending, kneeling, crouching, and assisting students at their physical level (e.g., floor activities or adaptive seating).
  • The employee may be required to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist students with mobility or transfers.
  • Vision and hearing abilities must be sufficient to observe student behavior, read printed materials and digital screens, and communicate effectively.
  • The employee must be able to maintain visual and auditory attention to ensure student safety and engagement throughout the school day.
  • Work is typically performed in a school environment with moderate noise levels and frequent movement between classrooms or buildings.
  • The employee may occasionally be exposed to body fluids or communicable diseases while performing job duties and must follow district and company safety protocols.
