This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast-tracking qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai’i.

Salary: $4,961 to $6,043 per month (SR-20, Step D to I).

Job DescriptionProfessional auditing work covered by examining of accounts for the purpose of rendering an opinion regarding the financial position and operations of the governmental agencies, individuals and business entities being examined.
Auditor III performs moderately difficult professional auditing work by conducting the examinations of smaller agencies or business entities or by auditing primarily one aspect of the fiscal work of both small and large agencies; assists higher-level auditors on more complex audit assignments; and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Basic
Education:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university with at least twelve (12) semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects. - Specialized
Experience:
Two (2) years for Level III of progressively responsible professional auditing experience requiring the knowledge and application of generally accepted professional accounting and auditing principles, standards, theory and practices for the purpose of analyzing and interpreting accounting books, records, or systems. - Driver's License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
