Job DescriptionA Wildlife Technician position is available with CEMML. This position is located at Pohakuloa Training Area on the Big Island in Hawaii. The work site is about 45 minutes from Hilo and Kona, characterized by rugged terrain with extensive lava flows and vegetated areas at an elevation of about 7,000 feet. The climate varies from wet to dry.
Requirements- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to meet requirements for a Department of Defense Common Access Card
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to hike in rugged terrain and work in varying weather conditions
Assist with native species monitoring, habitat restoration, invasive species control, data collection and entry, equipment maintenance, and reporting requirements.
