As an Airport Security Officer:
Full Time, Day Shift in Lihue, HI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring approach.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)

• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and e

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned airport property.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and/or policy concerns, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and direction from emergency personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor screening procedures, traffic flow, and other security-related duties while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
